Road to Zero education complex preview wrap up

Thank you to the Road to Zero team for hosting our ACHPER exclusive preview event at Melbourne Museum on Thursday 7 March. Delicious canapés and mocktails were enjoyed before immersing our guests into the fully interactive experience of the complex. The preview event featured:

  • A guided tour of the recently opened Road to Zero Experience Space and opportunity to ‘test’ the high-tech activities.
  • An exploration of the modern Learning Studios where students can reflect on their learning and apply it to curriculum-linked activities.
  • Learning about pre- and post-visit lesson plans and worksheets that support Road to Zero excursions.
  • An opportunity to network and socialise with peers and learning specialists.

Teachers were amazed to experience first-hand what their students will learn from visiting the complex.

The Road to Zero education complex was developed by the TAC in partnership with the Melbourne Museum. It is specifically designed to address the Victorian Science and Health & PE curriculum for Year 9, 10 and the VCAL curriculum. The experience allows students to work out for themselves (in a safe environment) why bodies aren’t built to survive the impact of severe crashes and how we can create a safer future. The complex which is part of a 10 year plan at Melbourne Museum is also FREE for school groups to visit!

If you missed out on this preview, don’t worry! Road to Zero has announced another event on 26 March.

All participants will receive a complimentary IMAX Melbourne voucher to watch a film on the world’s largest cinematic screen later in the evening.
