Life Saving Victoria swimming and water safety activities and updates

Life Saving Victoria (LSV)'s Swimming and Water Safety Team are excited to announce the launch of their new ‘Swimming and Water Safety Toolkit’ webpage. A home for free resources, support information and case studies for delivering quality schools swimming and water safety programs. Content will continue to be added to the toolkit on an ongoing basis, so we encourage you to keep checking the webpage for fresh ideas and updated support resources.

Throughout Term 2, the team will deliver a suite of state-wide workshops in Warrnambool, Ballarat, Bendigo, Wangaratta, Sunshine, Colac, Torquay, Lakes Entrance, Churchill and Melbourne. From innovative dry swimming ideas, to 10x lesson survival swimming programs, these professional development workshops and accredited training courses will assist schools and aquatic facilities to enhance their current swimming and water safety programs.

Visit the Events Calendar on the Toolkit webpage to view dates and enrol >>

Also, if your school recently completed a swimming and water safety program, don’t forget to provide students who achieved the competencies with their Victorian Water Safety Certificate. The certificate is free of charge for schools and aquatic facilities to order and provides students with official acknowledgement of their achievement. The Swimming and Water Safety Team would love to hear from those of you who have awarded students with the certificate, in particular the recognition and celebrations which accompanied.

If you have a unique story to share which LSV could profile, get in touch at [email protected].
