Road Smart is a free road safety education and training program for Year 10 students. The program provides students with a fundamental understanding of road safety, the causes of road trauma, and the importance of taking a staged approaching to driving, starting them out safely on the road.

Road Smart is FREE for Victorian schools and TAFEs and includes:

1) An interactive in-class session delivered at school by a trained Facilitator

2) eLearning modules for students and supervising drivers

3) A free driving lesson delivered outside of school hours, and

4) A teacher toolkit linked to the Victorian Curriculum.

Road Smart's free in-class session focuses on making safe choices as a road user and links to the Victorian curriculum via the Health and PE strand (Personal, Social and Community Health), VCAL (Personal Development) and the Capability Curriculum (Critical and Creative thinking, Ethical Capability and Personal and Social Capability).
