Diversity and Inclusion Workshop

Supporting and encouraging practical excellence by teachers in the education of physical activity for children attending secondary school regardless of ability, gender and culturally diverse background. This one-day interactive workshop will:  

  • Provide insights that will complement teaching and encourage greater participation of children in sport and physical education based on the following groups: 
    • Girls 
    • Lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, and/or inter sex 
    • Newly arrived migrant refugees and culturally diverse 
    • Physical and intellectual disability  
  • Identify challenges and associated solutions
  • Gain new knowledge and skills relating to access, attitude, choice, partnerships and opportunities 
  • Provide resources to assist with the practical application of teaching diversity and inclusion in secondary schools
