Could you be ACHPER Victoria's first Events and Conferences Business Lead?

ACHPER Victoria is currently undergoing an exciting new phase of development. As a result of operational strategic planning, a new role has become available leading and developing our events and conferences. As business lead in this newly developed unit, the role requires an individual who is passionate about developing teacher capacity.

Reporting to the Professional Learning Manager and part of the broader organisation, the Events and Conferences Business Lead (ECBL) will play an important role in event project management including event logistics, the curation of content, and sourcing, engaging and managing presenters. We are also looking for a person with the aptitude and desire to engage strategically in the development and growth of this unit. Specifically, this will include the opportunity to further develop the Events and Conferences Business unit through strong leadership, identifying areas of growth, setting targets and expectations, and how the unit can continue to support and deliver the strategic goals of the organisation.

In addition, the ECBL will play a supportive role to ACHPER Victoria’s other Business Units such as Professional Learning and Consultancy. Importantly, the candidate will have a broad knowledge of the professional requirements of health education, outdoor education and physical education teachers as well as exceptional organisational and planning skills in the areas of event management (for example, interschool sports carnivals, whole of school events, school professional development days, other events).

The Events and Conferences Business Lead will predominantly focus on developing and coordinating professional learning events, workshops and conferences and will also be engaged across other business units contributing to the design and development of a variety of teacher resources and supporting the delivery of projects with a range of external stakeholders.
