Deakin University’s nutrition survey for primary teachers

Although there have been some recent changes regarding school food policies and eating environments in Australian primary schools, very little is known or published about the positive or negative aspects of current school food environments.

Deakin University is undertaking a research project to explore the various aspects of the school food environment in Australian primary schools. As part of the project, Australian primary school teachers are invited to share their thoughts via a short (10-15 minute) anonymous survey.

To share your views and experiences of food provision in the primary school in which you are teaching now, please click here to take part in the survey and have your say >>

This is an opportunity for you to provide input into the Australian primary school food and lunch environment. Further benefits of this study include providing a clearer understanding of parents' and teachers' expectations and experiences of the school food environment which may be used to inform policy to improve food in primary school environments.

A brief overview of the results will be provided to ACHPER Victoria and other relevant educational stakeholders in the next six months.
