Life Saving Victoria (LSV) is happy to announce the return of the School Surf League for 2023.

LSV’s School surf league is an exciting summer event that sees Victorian secondary school students battle it out in an exhilarating and challenging sporting competition.

The school surf league aims to educate students about the importance of aquatic safety and lifesaving rescue, whilst providing them with an alternate leisure experience that tests endurance, strength, speed and agility in the most natural sporting arena, the beach.

Rounds consist of a series of team events adapted from the surf sport competition which include elements of surf swimming, board paddling, beach sprints and beach flags.

The competition is open to all Victorian secondary schools. Each school can enter students from Years 7-12 (including any combination of year levels and boys/girls, with no restrictions on the number of students each school can enter).

This fun event encourages students to adapt existing skills to a new environment and become involved in a great part of Australian culture.
