#TeachersInAction2020: a virtual professional development event for HPE teachers

Networking and learning from leaders in HPE as well as learning from each other is so important for all teachers. Normally this would occur through our face-to-face events such as our annual state HPE conference. But with changes to how everyone is working and learning this year, we felt it was critical to try something new to ensure HPE teachers could still access professional learning.

Our HPE teaching community has had to adapt to teaching online, and so have we! We’ve adjusted our format to deliver a new experience #TeachersInAction2020 online – our response to providing professional development to HPE teachers under the current conditions. We are so excited for this online virtual event coming up from 19-22 October.

Included in the 40+ sessions we have planned, we are thrilled to announce around 15 new local and overseas presenters, including Mel Hamada (Beijing International School), Brandon Herwick (Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk CSD, USA) and Jace Ferguson (International School of Macao).

With a focus on teaching F-10, the program features primary and secondary sessions within each time slot covering a range of high-interest areas including planning, activities, use of technology, health and wellbeing, and instructional approaches.

While going, back to school could make it harder for you to join us, our time slots around the school day provide great flexibility to help you attend. Plus, with all sessions being recorded and made available to you afterwards, this event will be perfect for people in any location across Victoria and beyond!

MC Andy Hair will guide you through the conference portal, bringing his high energy positivity to keep us on track to ensure everyone makes the most of the experience.

There is still time to register if you want to get involved. Head to our ‘Teachers In Action’ Virtual Conference webpage to learn more and register today!

If you’d like to speak to a member of our team or need further support at this time, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
