Testimonials
Cranbourne East Secondary College | Session Type: PE Faculty learning session
Professional Learning Goals:
To extend the range of teaching activities and tools for teaching using a game sense approach.
To support first year trained PE teachers to plan successful units of work and plan for assessment.
Impact:
“The PD session was extremely
insightful, especially for a graduate teacher like myself! Whilst still
professional, you created a comfortable learning environment where no questions
or conversations were off the table. Everything I learnt that day about developing
our Net and Wall unit has been extremely beneficial for myself and our team. We
took away a bound of knowledge that as a team, we can apply to all our unit and
curriculum planning, giving it more structure and consistency across the board” (Madi Henderson, Cranbourne East SC)
Al Iman College | Session Type: Whole School Generalist Teachers learning session
Professional Learning Goals:
To develop confidence and competence in all teachers (generalist form teachers, extra-curricular activities coordinator, support teachers and trained PE teachers) to deliver physical education lessons, particularly focusing on managing large class sizes, delivering PE in confined spaces and maximising active time.
Impact:
‘It was very practical and engaging. Every single teacher learnt something to take away from the PD. We learnt a lot of games that will be useful in PE’ (Ms Mariam Barakat, Secondary HPE teacher)
‘It was engaging, practical and very informative. The course was a bit tiring due to its physical nature but it’s good to experience the activities at first hand’ (Ustaz Waheed Imtiaz, Year 5 HPE teacher)

2. Implementing and extending a game sense approach across Prep – Year 9 information session to the school PE department.
Impact:
“I will definitely be taking the feedback on board to improve the structure of my lessons, but more importantly the engagement and differentiation for students” (Patrick Stutt, Creekside K-9 College)
“I will be looking to embed instant activities by having a variety of equipment ready for students to pick up and begin active exploring”
“I hope we have the pleasure to work with you again sometime in the future”
(Leo Athanasiou, Creekside K-9 College)
